Is Scouting something that you or your youth need in your life? Growing up has never been easy. To make things harder our youth are growing up in a time of social isolation with countless negative influences creeping into our homes through electronic devices or peer pressures. If you are looking to add some positive influences to your life Scouting may be what your family is looking for.
The Mandan Eagles charters scouting programs for all youth from Kindergarten through 17 years of age. These scouting programs provide youth the opportunity to:
Scout Oath
On my honor, I will do my best
To do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout Law;
To help other people at all times;
To keep myself physically strong, mentally awake and morally straight.
Scout Motto
Be Prepared!
Great for all youth, grades Kindergarten through 5th. According to scouting.org/programs/:
"When you’re a kid, fun comes first. Final exams, driver’s ed and summer jobs will arrive soon enough. Cub Scouts lets kids have fun while teaching them skills that will help them later on. From the thrill of shooting an arrow to learning how to transform a block of wood into a race car, Cub Scouts is one thrill after another. With a program expertly tailored to match each age in a young child’s life, Cub Scouts learn that even when fun isn’t easy, it’s always an adventure. In Scouting, everything has a purpose. And it shows kids that doing their best is the most fun of all."

Scout Law |
Youth from 11 through 17 years of age. According to scouting.org/programs/:
"With more than 130 Merit Badges—from Archery and Art to Welding and Wilderness Survival—Scouting is the ultimate form of learning by doing. Scouts explore their interests and improve their skills while working toward Scouting’s highest rank: Eagle. By first imagining, planning then doing their own service projects, Scouts learn the value of hard work, and experience the thrill of seeing it pay off. Add in outdoor adventures, hiking and camping, and Scouting gives youth experience that will benefit them throughout their life."
The Outdoor Code
As an American, I will do my best to -
Be clean in my outdoor manners
Be careful with fire
Be considerate in the outdoors, and
Be conservation minded.
The safety of our youth is our greatest priority. Scouts BSA has some of the most comprehensive youth protection policies of any youth organization. Some of these policies include:
Pack 53 is charted by the Mandan Eagles. We meet monthly for Pack meetings at the lower level of the Eagles Club. We offer a safe and comfortable environment for boys and girls K through 5 to learn life skills while having a fun time.
We have a lot of fun learning about new things, and learning to live the points of the Scout Law. We have both girls and boys in our program. We meet on Tuesdays at the Mandan Eagles.
Troop 54 is Mandan's oldest scout troop, chartered by the Mandan Eagles. We are open to all boys from 11 through 17 years of age.
Scouting is a year-round program uniquely designed to meet the needs of young people and their families. The program offers fun and challenging activities that promote character development and physical fitness. Family involvement is an essential part of the program, and parents are encouraged to play an active roll in making the most of the short time they have to impact the lives of their children.
We are an all-girl Troop in Scouts BSA with youth from Bismarck and Mandan! We are open to all girls from 11 through 17 years of age.
None of these Scouting programs would be possible without the help of our charter organization, The Mandan Eagles!
